In September 2003, Nha Trang Shipbuilding Industry Company ?a member of
Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (VINASHIN) - was expanded its business
activity from a small repair shipyard in Nha Trang established in 1985. It is
located near Nha Trang Sea Port, Khanh Hoa Province. NHA TRANG SHIPYARD has
completed over 12 new building projects including small Bulk Carriers, Tug
Boats, Dredger Ships and Composite Boats until 2005. Especially in the crucial
year 2006, we have contracted and have been constructing for the new building
of two vessels; one is a 225 TEU Container Ship and the other is 20,000 DWT
Bulk Carrier and their sister vessels are under the signing of contract in May
2007.
CAM RANH Shipyard- inside the CAM RANH BAY with deep water and calm without
swell- with land area of 75Ha and sea area of 100Ha, has been constructing 2
slip ways, one with 30,000DWT capacity and the other with 70,000DWT capacity;
One graving dock of 200,000DWT capacity, two Floating Dock of 100,000DWT each
together with 3 quays with total length 1,040m. The facility is available for
the new building of the vessels up to 100,000DWT including Bulk Carriers,
Tankers, Container Ships, Ro-Ro and Passenger Ships.
